The most common use of these nuts (seeds) is in the ritual chewing of the "betel-quid." This habit is very widespread throughout Asia, India and the Pacific, making it one of the most popular stimulants in the world. People chew it for stress reduction, feelings of well-being, and heightened awareness. As usual, our betel nut comes from a small farm that has been owned by the same family for over 100 years. Hand picked and hand cleaned, this betel nut is the best quality available anywhere!
Generally the the betel-quid is a small morsel consisting of a quarter betel seed (cushed), a pinch of lime, spices like cardamom or nutmeg for flavour all wrapped in a betel leaf (Piper betle). On some Pacific Islands it is traditional for the men to also add tobacco into the package. This quid is chewed slowly over several hours, causing mild stimulation and a feeling of well-being. The leaves from this ancient plant were used for hundreds of years across the world until they were demonized by the Roman Catholic Church. Used in beer and witch's ointments, the leaves of this plant would invoke giddiness and visionary experiences.
Black Henbane (Hyoscamus niger) belongs to the Solanacea and is one of the oldest psychoactive plants known: its ritual and shamanistic use probably dates back to Paeolithicum. In ancient Greece black henbane was used for clairvoyance and as a poison and during the Middle Ages it was one of the main ingredients of their visionary brews. This pack of 100 seeds is enough for many beautiful flowers in your Shaman's Garden. Click here for more info...

These seeds and pods are picked from the same single pond on the small farm in Nepal that the Blue Lotus petals and stamens are from. They have a rich blue hue, and are completely organic. These seeds have even been known to sprout years after they have been picked, but are most often used along with their pods to make seed tinctures.

San Pedro (Trichocereus pachanoi) cactus is one of the most ancient and sacred plants of South America, dating back to pre-Columbian civilizations who occupied the high northern Andean mountain valleys. This plant grows VERY fast, it's super-hardy, and it's often a favorite of growers because it produces 12 inches -18 inches of new growth per year. This seed pack will give you the potential for about 10 of these beauties! To cultivate, simply place the seeds on top of a sandy soil, easily found at any local nursery or Home Depot. Then, simply sprinkle a light layer of soil over the top of that to cover the seeds. Give your cactus seeds only shaded or fluorescent light only for the first 6-12 months. After that, there's no way to give these cacti too much sun! Although deserts are known to be dry, the humidity for germination should be around 70-80 % and can easily be accomplished by creating a small terrarium. Click here for more info...

Celastrus paniculata is a treasured medicinal herb that is revered for its effects on the brain cells and has been used for centuries in Ayurveda for sharpening the memory and increasing intellect. Typically it is used as a cognitive enhancer for those of all ages, but personal experimentation has shown that if it's taken about 1 hour before bedtime, it can also be a powerful aid in achieving lucid dreams, and at a minimum, a great tool to aid in dream recall.
In folk medicine, the seeds are boiled and taken for purification of body and mind through the cleansing of blood. The seeds constitute the drug; they are slightly bitter, and hence used almost always with a natural sweetener like Licorice root (which enhances its effects) or Stevia leaves. To use whole seeds effectively, simply chew 10-12 of them at a time, or steep 1 tsp of seeds in 4 cups of boiling hot water for 3 hours. Then, sweeten to taste, and drink throughout the day to enhance mental capabilities and cognitive thinking brain patterns. Click here for more info...

These giant seeds have a long history as a powerful vivid dream inducer when mixed in a pipe with tobacco or even when mixed with your favorite herb. The plant has a long history and appears naturally from near Durban northwards throughout tropical Africa and into India, Asia and Australia.
The extraodinarily large seeds are often carried or worn on necklaces and pendants as lucky charms, but since Africa is a culture that believes that contact with their ancestors comes through dreams, they have found and cultivated plants that help achieve this spiritual connection, and this is one of them.

The "Crimson Rambler" variety of Morning Glory is an old time favorite that has become somewhat scarce. These organic, untreated seeds provide a fast-growing climber that is extremely easy to take care of and a colorful addition to any Shaman's Garden. In fact, it's reported that many generations of Aztecs and natives in Mexico (Oaxaca region) believe that a deity lives within the seeds and they may have not only held Morning Glory quite sacred, but they may have used either the seeds or the flowers from the plants ritualistically as well.
Today, the "Crimson Rambler" (Ipomoea purpurea) variety of Morning Glory seeds produce stunningly beautiful red to violet flowers with white necks, which typically bloom during the first year as they amaze you at the speed in which they can climb. These untreated morning glory seeds (spraying with chemicals can not only weaken the strain, but it can greatly reduce germination rates as well) are organically grown and harvested.
