California Poppy is a very curious plant that should not be confused with the traditional Opium Poppy.  Although they share a similar name, it's main alkaloids are quite different, although the traditional uses seem to be quite similar.  California Poppy has been used as a tea for headaches, anxiety, and insomnia, and when a potent crop of California Poppy is harvested and processed properly as we do, it can be incredibly effective.
