Calamus Root Pieces

This root was a favorite of Native American tribes and had many uses, including fighting pain and fatigue. The Cree say that they can take Acorus Calamus root and "travel great distances without touching the ground."

It's even mentioned in the Bible in Exodus 30 and Solomon 4. A 2" section of the root reportedly had a stimulating effect, wheras a 6" section supposedly produced a visionary experience. Calamus has a certain sweetness as well as a sour quality and a heat like ginger or cinnamon.

I won't be buying this again. It is great, but I ate 4 pieces and felt very ill and now I can't stand the taste. But it's a good product, just don't eat it.

I made a very strong tincture out of calamus root power. 1 oz root to 2 oz of 200 proof ever clear. 1 dropperful of finished tincture in a small amount of water. I swish it around in my mouth for as long as I can stand to and then swallow. I am pain free and my mind is sharp. A lot easier than eating root or making tea.
