YOGA RHYTHM is 60 minutes of continuous music designed to be used to accompany yoga practice, trance dance and various other healing arts methods. Mixed up by DJ Free and featuring special guest percussionist Brent Lewis, listeners are provided with earthy, medicinal rhythms paired with the enchanting sounds of sitar (T. Gordon Anderson), piano (Peter Schimke), rattles and chant vocals. SOULFOOD consulted with Kripalu Center for Yoga Fellowship President Jonathon Foust, Esalen Institute Yoga/Movement Instructor Ana Poirier, Certified Yoga Instructor Rexanne Diehl and Nepalese Yoga instructor Swami Ji on the direction of the music.
