Certain scents reputedly stimulate human erotic nature; musk, certain spices and patchouli are legendary aphrodisiacs.
Traditions In perfume history, Musk was one of the costliest and most sought-after raw ingredients. Unfortunately, it was cruelly harvested from the Asian Musk deer. With the advent of synthetic musks, it is now possible to enjoy this sensual aroma without bloodshed!
Early Chinese perfumers combined tiny amounts of musk with the aromatic compounds from ginger, camphor, opium and white flowers to produce aphrodisiac fragrances. Legend states the Emperor's bed silks were ritually sacheted with such perfumes.
