Elxirs, Blends, and Tinctures

We are proud to offer this complete line of Herbal Elixirs. All are carefully crafted in our FDA-approved facility, ensuring purity, quality, and consistency. These are herbal blends and herbal synergies, not our potent single herb LIQUID EXTRACTS that we also offer.

While single herb liquid extracts may offer superior potency for a single herb, these elixirs and tinctures blend the "best of many worlds" in recipes gleaned from Shamans and Ayurvedists, tested and approved by years of customer feedback. All are, as with all of our products, crafted from the purest ingredients, and with passion and care.

Whatever Elixir, Liquid Extract, or Tincture you choose, know that they are all "Full Spectrum" extracts.  This preserves the original energy of the plant, offering an experience that is as true to the effects of each plant as possible.  The psychoactive aspect of the plant is more able to synthesize with the body and mind when a plant is ingested in its natural state, as Mother Nature intended.

Liquid extracts probably have a wider range of uses than most realize.  For example, whenever I ask people about what their favorite tincture or elixir is, and ask how they use them, most tell me that they simply grab a “dropperful” (or a few “dropperfuls”), and take it directly.  Elixirs are crafted in a fermented grape blend, and are often meant to be used as one or two servings, but liquid extracts are typically intended to be used as a supplement to something else.

Tinctures and liquid extracts can be used as a nice addition to your favorite tea, they can be mixed with an oil warmer to fill the room with the scent of the plant, or one of my favorite uses is to take the dropper and splash it evenly onto a favorite tea blend or smoking herb.  The purified alcohol portion of the extract quickly dissolves, leaving behind only the extracted plant material.

Obviously, it has to be left to dry completely (I leave it evaporate overnight), but once it’s ready, it adds a great touch to those favorite herbs whether they’re smoking herbs or herbs to be made into a tea.  Adding it to herbs using a dropper lets you measure out the amount you add quite accurately, making it easy to know what amount is your “favorite” amount time and time again.

Tinctures also have a very long shelf life; another added bonus of buying a liquid extract.  Typically, they will keep their original potency for about 2 years, so it can be comforting knowing that you’re herbs aren’t going to dry out.  Tinctures don’t need refrigeration, but elixirs and hydrosols do, especially after they’ve been opened.  But, in the fridge, elixirs will keep for several months.

So, if you only want to work with your tincture every once in a while, know it will always be as potent as the day you bought it, within reason, of course.  I always like to add a tincture to my herbs, especially with Wild Dagga.  I’ll often take the flat leaf Dagga, and add a dozen drops to a leaf, letting it dry overnight.  It gives it an extra “edge” and “kick” when I go to work with it, or when I then blend it with any other herbs I like to work with.
