Wildcrafted and organically grown African strain Grade "A" Amanita muscaria. History has it associated with both Shamanic and magical practices and it was identified as the "Soma" of the ancient (4000 BC) Rig Veda by Gordon Wasson. Strangely enough, amanitas grow all over the world, just like Cannabis Sativa, and this particular strain is from a natural field of them growing in Africa. We've been sourcing these for years, mostly becuase of the repeat customers who demand this particular strain. They are not the prettiest Amanitas we carry, but they have a devoted following.

Wildcrafted and organically grown Latvian strain Grade "A" Amanita muscaria v. muscaria mushrooms. This is our most popular strain of Amanitas, partly due to the consistency in the crop and the supply, year after year. These specimens are, of course, caps only, just like all the mushrooms we offer here, regardless of the strain or variety. We constantly rotate our crops each year; since we've been doing this for so long, we know exactly how many to get each year, ensuring that the Amanitas you receive will be as fresh as the most recent harvest.

These are the oft-coveted Siberian strain Grade "A" Amanita muscaria mushrooms, partly due to their place in folklore and history. Yes, there are many historical records of Siberian Amanita Cults, a few of which still exist today, and we get these authntic specimens from one of those still-practicing Siberian cults. One of the reasons these particular people have a distinct place in history is becuase of the WAY in which these Siberian Shaman practiced their Amanita rituals: Since the active components of Amanita muscaria mushroom are transformed within the human body (they contain ibotenic acid which, when the carboxyl radical is removed from the molecule, yields the psychoactive molecule muscimole), the urine of one who has consumed the mushroom is drunk by another who would consequently becomes inebriated...eek. - Click the image or the link below for the full story...

Wildcrafted and organically grown Latvian strain Grade A+ Amanita muscaria mushrooms. Our Latvian Amanitas are our most popular strain, and as an added service to our customers, we offer this "A+" grade in our continuing efforts to offer as wide a variety of botanicals as possible. No other curious red-spotted fungus has enjoyed such a deeply mysterious history, which reaches, quite literally, mythological proportions. There are references to this fungus in Christmas stories, in the Rig Veda, and some argue; in early Christianity. Amanita myths abound, and this particular strain is straight from one of the original sources for early Amanita muscaria Shamanic use.
One fact no one can argue, is that these mushrooms are associated with both Shamanic and magical practices and they could very well be the world's oldest entheogen. They grow all over the world, and have been positively identified as being used by various religious cults, including ones in Siberia, Africa, and the United States, where these mushrooms can easily be found.

OUT OF STOCK - DO NOT ORDER!
These yellowish forms are difficult to distinguish from A. gemmata; one of the most common causes of mushroom poisoning in the Pacific Northwest. But these certified Amanita pantherina specimens come from a religious sect in Siberia that still uses these caps listed as poisons in their rituals to this day. Pantherinas have much more concentrated active components in them, but are strictly not for human consumption.

These hand made mushroom art pieces are available in extremely limited quantities. Crafted out of wood and a high pressure water-based system, the shape of the wood can be twisted into forms that look just like magical mushrooms. They stand about 6" - 8" tall, and the photos, as hard as we try, doesn't do them a bit of justice.
These are made by a small community in Peru, and it's one of the ways it keeps them on their land, producing amazing botanicals such as B. Caapi, Maca, and other plants that we adore so much here at the shop. Click here for more info...
