Feel free to indulge in the world famous plant that allows natives to "leave their body and glide over the tropical island" when they use it for pleasure or during their ceremonies. From published research, 3 grams of plain Kava root, divided into 1 gram doses seems, or 50-70 mg of kavalactones taken three times daily has been prescribed by European doctors as an anti-anxiety medication. But, we cannot make those kinds of statements here in the USA, so we want to make it clear that any of the statements on this page in relation to Kava have not been approved by the FDA, and that any of our Kava products are not intended to diagnose, prevent, or cure any disease. Two interesting facts we would like to include are simply these: 1. Saliva reportedly activates the kavalactones, so this is why the mouth gets numb. 2. Human studies using kava at therapeutic dosages failed to indicate toxicity. One gram of lecithin the day before a journey and one gram one hour before helps greatly on cutting down any nausea. It helps act as an emulsifier in the lumnia of the digestive tract-a natural buffer so that the exposure of gastrointestinal toxins is greatly diminished.
